Rare Earth Thick Film Heating Technology

Water Purifier Heating Methods

1. Hot Tank Heating (Storage-Type Heating)

  • Principle: Similar to traditional electric kettles or hot water bottles. The machine contains a stainless steel heating tank (hot tank), and the internal heating elements heat and maintain the water stored inside the tank.
  • Advantages: Mature technology, low cost.
  • Disadvantages:

    • Repeated Boiling Water: The water is repeatedly heated and cooled, which not only consumes more electricity but may also raise concerns about "reboiled water" (although this is controversial in the scientific community, it remains a psychological concern for consumers).
    • High Energy Consumption: The system requires continuous electricity to maintain the temperature, leading to higher energy consumption.
    • Long Waiting Time: Initial heating takes a longer time.
    • Large Size: The hot tank takes up a significant amount of space, making the machine bulky.
    • Fixed Water Temperature: Typically only provides a fixed high temperature, and multi-stage temperature adjustment is not possible.

2. Single-Tube Instant Heating

  • Principle: Uses a metal heating tube, and the water is instantly heated as it flows through the tube.
  • Advantages: Faster than hot tank heating and somewhat avoids the issue of reboiling water.
  • Disadvantages:

    • Uneven Heating Efficiency: Mineral scale can accumulate on the heating tube, affecting heating efficiency and safety.
    • High Power Consumption: Usually requires a higher power rating (above 2000W), which places greater demands on the electrical system.
    • Unstable Output Temperature: The flow rate and water temperature are difficult to balance accurately.

3. Quartz Tube Instant Heating

  • Principle: Water flows through a quartz glass tube, and the outer wall of the tube is coated with a heating film for heating.
  • Advantages: The water and electricity are separated, which makes it somewhat safer; the heating speed is faster than hot tank heating.
  • Disadvantages:

    • Fragile: Quartz tubes are at risk of cracking due to rapid temperature changes, making them less durable.
    • Scaling Issues: Mineral scale can accumulate on the inner walls of the tube, and cleaning is difficult.
    • Decreasing Heating Efficiency: The performance will degrade over time as it is used.

  1. Rare Earth Thick Film Heating Technology: Principles and Top Advantages

Rare Earth Thick Film Heating Technology is the most advanced, efficient, and user-friendly technology in the instant heating field today.

  • "Water-electric separation, absolute safety": The water flows inside the pipe, while the electric current runs outside, physically separated, providing the highest level of safety for you and your family.
  • "Aerospace materials, anti-scaling and durable": Using special rare earth materials, it has high thermal efficiency and is not prone to scaling, with a service life far exceeding that of traditional heating technologies.

What is the technology principle?

  • Base Material: The core is a high-strength stainless steel water pipe, through which water flows.
  • Coating: A special conductive rare earth material (containing precious metals like silver and palladium) is evenly and tightly sintered onto the surface of the stainless steel pipe via an advanced micro-glass coating process. This layer is extremely thin, usually only at the micron level.
  • Heating by Electric Current: When electric current passes through this rare earth thick film, due to its resistive effect, nearly 100% of the electrical energy is converted into heat and directly transferred to the stainless steel inner pipe wall in contact with the water. The pipe wall then instantaneously transfers the heat to the water flowing inside.

Unlike traditional "rapid heating" (heating tubes), which first heat themselves and then the water, it works like putting a self-heating "smart electric coat" on the water pipe. Once powered, this "coat" immediately heats up, and the heat is transferred directly to the water without any loss.

Why is it a top-tier technology? Its core advantages are as follows:

Advantage
Explanation
1. Instant Heating (Core Experience)
Due to its minimal thermal resistance, high thermal efficiency, and high power density, it can deliver hot water within 1-3 seconds. The "85℃ hot water delivery time reduced to within 3 seconds" is precisely due to this. Users don't need to wait; the water is ready instantly, providing an experience far superior to any other technology.

2. Precise Temperature Control
The thermal inertia of the rare earth thick film heating element is minimal, enabling rapid temperature rise and fall. This allows it to cooperate with high-precision temperature sensors and chips to achieve temperature control with an accuracy of ±1°C. It can easily switch between different temperature settings (e.g., 45°C for milk, 85°C for coffee, 90°C for tea), meeting the needs of various beverages.

3. Complete Separation of Water and Electricity, Extreme Safety
This is its most important safety advantage. The current only flows through the outer membrane layer, while the water flows through the sealed metal pipe, completely separated by an insulator and the stainless steel pipe wall, ensuring "water-electric separation" and fundamentally eliminating the risk of electric leakage.

4. Never Scales (Long-lasting Performance)
Due to the "instant high temperature of the pipe wall and the rapid temperature rise of the water flow" feature, the heat is carried away by the water flow before it can accumulate on the calcium and magnesium ions in the water, greatly reducing the formation of scale. Even with long-term use, its heating efficiency will not degrade.

5. Compact Size, Flexible Power Options
The heating element itself is a water pipe, making the structure very compact and providing ample space for product miniaturization. Moreover, the power can be flexibly designed by adjusting the pattern and area of the membrane, offering stronger adaptability.

6. Super Long Lifespan
The rare earth thick film is sintered with the base material, forming a strong bond that is not prone to peeling, oxidation, or aging, resulting in a lifespan far longer than traditional heating tubes and quartz tubes.
